Stefan Bucher

Monster Success

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

We expected Stefan to talk about his monster project. What we got was much, much more.

Stefan's appearance at CSCA was the final stop in a 25-city speaking tour that took him from San Diego to NY, and all points in between. But he brought so much humor and heart to his visit, you'd have thought it was his first event, not his last. Stefan spoke for more than two hours and generously signed books and posters for at least an hour longer. His reflections on creative purpose, client psychology, and the delicate balance of work and life were some of the most honest and insightful we've heard. And when he finally did get around to his famous ink monsters, it was like the perfect dessert after a long and enjoyable meal.

Evidently Columbus made an impact on Stefan, too. Read his own comments about his visit (and raves about the German Village Guesthouse!) on this post on his Daily Monster blog.
