Position Overview
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identification and generation of leads, building and maintaining relationships, and development of proposals for new clients and business opportunities for Origo. In this position, you are to demonstrate the ability to develop strategic sales plans, manage the day to day communication with leads, and develop proposals and prospect presentations. You will work closely with the Accounts Director to develop and secure client relationships for branding and advertising initiatives through digital, interactive, web, print, and video channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop leads and client prospect list
  • Work leads acquired from Origo’s marketing efforts
  • Develop and work a plan to qualify leads and secure meetings
  • Write proposals and RFP responses in collaboration with the Accounts team
  • Lead pitch presentations
  • Stay current with industry developments, trends and technological advances to ensure the agency stays ahead of the competition

Recommended Skills, Experience, and Abilities

  • 4-6 years experience in a business development role
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading
  • A passion for creative work, including branding, advertising, and digital/interactive
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Talent, drive and ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Passion for collaboration; intellectual curiosity
