Under the direction of our Director, Creative Services, the Motion Graphics Designer will be responsible for integrating interactive elements into design projects with the ability to deliver an engaging user experience across multiple platforms on web or mobile devices. Establishes new concepts to lead OhioStateBuckeyes.com as an interactive website in technology and innovation. Responsible for meeting with internal clients to conceptualize ideas and deliver successful outcomes. Work alongside a team of talented designers, marketing managers, digital media experts and other team members to collaborate on creating engaging stories that bring the narratives of our brand to life. Coordinates all aspects of the design process; conceptualization, storyboarding, animating, and editing. Produces designs for a variety of print, web and social media applications.

Project formats include promotional and informational videos, social advertising, event graphics, and the exploration of new formats. Ability to stay up-to-date on industry best practices/trends/standards. This position works in a fast-paced, creative and collaborative environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.

Degree in graphic design, advertising, or related field required. Professional experience in animation and motion graphics required. Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, After Effects) required. Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery desired. Strong communication skills, creativity and flexibility. Must have ability to work on multiple tasks and manage numerous deadlines effectively. Show strategic problem solving and the ability to experiment with and incorporate new techniques into projects. Knowledge of a collegiate athletics department and the NCAA structure desired.
