CAS (Chemical Abstracts Services) is hiring two User Experience (UX) Designers. Applicants should have a passion for creating elegant solutions to user-centric problems. A strong background in interaction design, usability standards, design research, and collaboration are important. While applications do not need to be an expert in HTML/CSS/JS, a basic understanding is a plus.

CAS offers a wide range of software solutions designed to meet the needs of research, patent, regulatory, and business professionals in every phase of the innovation process. These solutions are offered to customers through search-based, online applications. The UX team at CAS is comprised of designers, analysts, researchers, and technical writers. The team is situated in product development. Day-to-day, UX designers produce wireframes, user flow charts, experience strategies, and high-fidelity visual and interaction specifications. Less frequently, but equally important to design responsibilities, designers also work with user researchers to plan, execute, and translate research.
