Taking Flight with The Wing: Building a brand and creating a community
Inspiring the ideas that move the world forward. Creating the connections that bring it closer together. The talented women who will show the way. This is what can only happen within a powerful community. A community that works together, stands together, and fights together.
Deva Pardue knows the power of creation that can be found in community. Which is why she’s crafting a compelling brand identity and voice for The Wing, a women-centered network fueled by a community of support, shared working spaces, and an influential voice that comes to life in print and digital media.
A New York-based designer and creative director originally from Dublin, Ireland, Deva graduated from The School of Visual Arts in 2011. Soon after, she built her career at Pentagram Design, and now, in her current role, she leads the creative department at The Wing.
In 2016, Deva founded For All Womankind, and created the iconic Femme Fists image that went viral during the Women’s March.
In her talk, Deva will dive into the approach she’s taken to building this compelling brand, evolving it from the inside, and some things she’s learned along the way.
See what’s possible when revolutionary thinking brings a community together. June 20, Gateway Film Center.
