Freelance Panel Discussion: The Business of Freelance

Thursday, October 24th at 6:30pm at join us for a panel featuring a variety of independent creatives, moderated by Anna Hetzel. They’ll get into the details about the business of freelancing, finding work, and share some of what they’ve learned along the way.

Panelists:

Jordan Edwards
Creative Director, Mischief Management
In Jordan Edwards’ five plus years as Creative Director of world-renowned New York-based fan convention company Mischief Management, he has helped to create such events at LeakyCon (the world’s largest Harry Potter fan convention), BroadwayCon (the first-ever fan convention for the Broadway community), Con of Thrones (the premiere fan convention for Game of Thrones), and Mischief Management’s newest event, PodcastCon (for podcast fans and creators).

Molli Ross
Graphic Designer
Molli Ross is the owner + designer of the recently launched Oddball Design Co. She specializes in branding and Squarespace website design, working mostly with independent business owners and startups. Her family also owns a small screenprinting business where she uses her illustration and hand-lettering skills to design apparel.

Kyle Asperger is a visual strategist and founder of 301 Original, a design strategy and commercial photography house dedicated to bridging the gap between your brand and your audience.

Kristine Breckenridge
Founder, Avant TaxWorks
Kristine Breckenridge, EA is the Founder and Profit Strategist at Avant TaxWorks.  She offers tax, bookkeeping and advisory services with a modern and proactive approach.  Avant TaxWorks partners with entrepreneurs that provide professional or creative services so they can organize, build and thrive.

Anna Hetzel, Moderator
