As a Content Writer/Strategist at OppGenetix, you will play a cross-functional role in helping our PPC, SEO and web development teams with various projects that require creative consistent content. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, but this could include writing Facebook ads for a small medical client, writing compelling landing page content for a homebuilder, or crafting our next internal marketing campaign. Although we don’t expect our content writer to be a subject matter expert in every industry, excellent research skills are required to excel and contribute in this position. Ideally, the content writer will have the ability to turn any topic into an engaging article or a memorable one-liner.OppGenetix is the leading Central Ohio paid digital advertising agency.   • Advise internal teams on latest content marketing trends and best practices
  • Perform competitive research on various industries to understand what kind of ads and content are driving the most engagement
  • Write creative and exciting ad copy for advertising channels such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Write conversion optimized copy for client landing pages
  • Write long-form content for client whitepapers, articles and blog posts
  • Proofread and revise content sent over by clients
  • Create and manage ongoing content calendar for both internal marketing efforts and retainer clients
  • Format and publish content on various content management systems such as WordPress and Squarespace

Requirements:

  • A passion for telling stories
  • 2-3 years experience as a content writer or similar editorial role
  • Experience writing both short-form and long-form content
  • Basic understanding of PPC and SEO preferred
  • Comfortable communicating with clients to receive feedback
  • Confidence to pitch new ideas and fight for them
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple projects
  • Passion for marketing and curiosity to keep learning
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and project management tools
