You are a storyteller. You know how to create content that builds trust, You have experience with a B2B audience, and you understand that they crave content that helps, informs, instructs or entertains them. And you are just as comfortable writing for digital as you are for print. You have a curious mind, and you’re not afraid to dig in and find the story, even when it lives in the minds of subject matter experts and needs to be extracted and translated into compelling content. You know how to thread the needle from start to finish. You’re fast, collaborative and excellent at juggling many different writing projects – of all different sizes – at once. You’re great at managing your time and prioritizing projects without compromising quality. You like deadlines. You have an editorial eye. You are experienced and comfortable in an agency environment where every day is different, project priorities change and flexibility is required.

As a content writer, you will craft content for a mostly B2B audience across a variety of tactics, including social media, sales tools, direct marketing, emails, case studies, websites, blogs, white papers, digital ads and more. You will support long-term strategies through the development of content that drives towards our clients’ sales objectives. You will collaborate with teammates and freelancers to develop and deliver messaging strategies for a diverse array of clients, products and services—as well as the marketing of our own agency. You have a high creative drive, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are a broad and creative thinker, and you’re comfortable playing outside your job description as part of a team that is all-in.

You will report to an associate creative director, but you will manage your own priorities, tasks and projects, with support from project managers, client service and creative counterparts. You will brainstorm big ideas and smart solutions, play a key role in creating the story behind them—and then delivering them to our clients.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Research and fact finding: Reviewing existing content and source materials as well as interviewing subject matter experts to extract the relevant information for every assignment
  • Content development: Recommending and authoring original content for a variety of assignments across mediums
  • Collaborating: Partnering with client service and creative team members to ensure a strategic story is being told in every project
  • Learning: Keeping up with B2B insights and trends that could benefit our clients, our work and our collective knowledge
  • Concepting: Developing great, on-brief ideas in response to client project needs—and then bringing them to life in copy
  • Presenting: Sharing new ideas with members of the treetree team, presenting work to clients on behalf of the agency
  • Agency marketing: Creating marketing, PR and thought leadership content on behalf of treetree, with partnership from teammates
  • Enhancing: Thinking beyond the “ask” to offer thoughtful solutions with purpose
  • Pivoting: Being flexible enough to turn on a dime according to direction, strategic shifts and feedback
  • Prioritizing: Effectively balancing your plate to meet deadlines without compromising the balance or volume of work
  • Improving: Strengthening the overall creative power of the treetree team with your imagination, work ethic and sparkling personality


  • Four-year degree required
  • Three+ years of agency experience or similar environment
  • Strong portfolio of work across multiple industries and channels
  • Exceptional team player and collaborator
  • Natural curiosity and drive to dig deeper, do research and ask questions to better understand subject matter and topics at hand
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of traditional grammar rules and willingness to break them, as needed
  • Comfort and professionalism when presenting to clients
