• Works with the Marketing & Communications team to design original artwork for projects and campaigns while analyzing such factors as subject matter, tone, mood, intended audience, usage, distribution, budget, timeframe, required brand standards, and specifications
  • Manages and prioritizes projects and acts as consultant with area of ministry stakeholders to conceptualize, scope, design and present content in ways that will engage C&MA audiences while maintaining quality design and brand standards
  • Develops a wide range of visual design content for projects and campaigns effectively following Alliance brand strategy and design philosophy to ensure alignment with brand and production standards and successful implementation of project and campaign goals and objectives
  • Effectively presents creative concepts to internal teams and area of ministry stakeholders with thoughtful rationale and professionalism in collaboration with director for brand strategy and visual communications
  • Manages the design and production of graphic art and visual materials for print and digital media resources, including imagery, charts, infographics, and multimedia elements used for marketing and other forms of communication, working with director for brand strategy and visual communications on overall design strategy per project
  • Supervises designs and layouts to ensure alignment with brand and production standards and following best practices; provides creative and technical direction in an art director capacity and delegates design projects equitably among staff
  • Collaborates with leadership to coordinate, produce, and schedule multiple-resource print and digital campaigns
  • Oversees the production of static and motion graphics for use on the Alliance web site, social media, and video in collaboration with digital marketing team
  • Manages and provides leadership for design staff
  • Oversees print coordination with external vendors; coordinates with marketing and communication specialist to solicit and evaluate print bid proposals to determine appropriate vendor for specific projects based on quantity, size, cost, timeframe, and type of printing (digital and offset) required; maintains positive relationship with external print vendors
  • Coordinates with marketing and communications specialist to prepare electronic prepress files according to industry standards by:
  • Reviewing vendor proofs and determining need for press checks
  • Ensuring high quality print standards through thorough reviews of digital proofs
  • Ensuring that all files are archived and backed up in accordance with industry and The Christian and Missionary Alliance standards
  • Oversees evaluation of technological innovations and competitive products to enhance design applications and ensure designers have the tools and skills required to produce unique, high impact materials in collaboration with director for brand and visual communications
  • Supports and may be required to attend biennial General Council
