Scope of Position: The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Digital Strategy team, a collaboration between the Communications & Marketing and Information Technology departments, is responsible for the Medical Center’s web/mobile properties, which include the main Medical Center’s consumer-facing site, the College of Medicine’s site, cross-platform native mobile apps and several other web, mobile, email and social presences. This position is responsible for managing a cohesive User Experience strategy and team, implementation of large-scale development projects on our consumer-facing platforms, and evangelizing user-centric and design thinking across the organization.
Position Summary: The Digital User Experience Director manages the work of a team of designer/developers, optimization specialist, content manager, project manager, as well as external vendors and is supervised by the Admin Director, Digital Strategy. They will work with the multi-disciplinary Digital Strategy team to advance the user experience for all OSU Wexner Medical Center web/mobile properties in support of the organizational goals to advance national reputation, increase patient volumes and optimize financial performance and efficiencies.
