Our client is looking for a Lead Product Designer that can lead a small team. Their focus will be to step up quality and standards shared with stakeholders. Figma experience is a must!

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead design projects and ensure high-quality delivery on time, within scope and budget
  • Manage project teams – overseeing multiple efforts at the same time
  • Assign clear roles and responsibilities for each UXer on the project (including design, content strategy, and research)
  • Competently represent each of these with the client, give the sales pitch, and support the team member(s) in these roles to help them grow
  • Coach and grow clients in their UX maturity
  • Ask questions to clients to gather goals and strategies to inform design
  • Establish a working relationship with agile technology teams that may be unfamiliar with incorporating UX, and coach the teams to integrate UX into the process
  • Ensure quality delivery of the project team’s work
  • Present all the designs of the team, requirements, and future scope when addressed in C-level meetings
  • Help with design or research work in an expedited fashion, when needed
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and diplomatically with clients and team members
  • Build relationships with our clients to grow and identify future opportunities and projects
  • Cultivate our practice by actively participating in design team meetings and spending time reinforcing a culture of learning and growth

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a UX design position
  • At least 3 years leading cross-discipline UX project teams (Leading projects that take an idea from concept to sketches, to high fidelity design comps ready for development)
  • Experience collaborating and leading conversations with development teams including Product owners, Developers, Researchers, and other Designers
  • Proven track record of scoping work and building proposals for new opportunities
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating them into a work plan for the design team
  • Working experience and knowledge of agile and digital product design processes
  • A solid understanding of usability best practices as it pertains to digital experiences
  • Proficiency with modern tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, Miro, Mural, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience converting evaluative testing findings into meaningful designs
  • Ability to provide thoughtful, and constructive feedback for team members
  • Multitasks – prioritizes and meets deadlines promptly and on time
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Portfolio of samples that demonstrate your experience
