User Experience Architects will serve as the ultimate champion for the end user across many digital touchpoints. Driven by intuition and grounded in best practice, they have an understanding of what users want, along with what they need. They aren’t afraid to push past the obvious and they look to solve business problems through the eyes of the consumer daily.

These team members will have the opportunity to contribute to multiple projects in a variety of capacities, including hands-on production work associated with internal and client-facing deliverables, while also supporting larger-scale projects with research and/or documentation for more senior team members, as well as independent and collaborative contributions to agency thought leadership. Throughout, the UX Architect will be guided by the greater team in learning new technologies, skills, and capabilities, which coincide with the needs of the agency as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining deliverables across the UX team, including, but not limited to: user flows, site maps, sketches, wireframes, prototypes and design systems.
  • Contribute to and organize documentation of business and user requirements, functional specifications, process workflows and data modeling structures as it ties to the user experience.
  • Conduct audits for content inventory purposes and evaluate competitive user experiences for learnings to share with the project team
  • Determine structure and hierarchy of content, based on user needs & business goals
  • Support user testing activities and deliverables by helping to organize, plan, moderate and report on usability tests, focus groups, tree testing, and/or remote testing
  • Provide best practice and POV documentation in verbal and written form
  • Recommend options for multivariate and a/b testing scenarios
  • Achieve a balance between the latest trends and evidence based UX practices
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the latest technologies & platforms to produce technically sound solutions
  • Help managers and agency team members prep for larger meetings
  • Run smaller, more tactical meetings when required
  • Present to clients as needed—and with ample support from senior team members—to support team and project milestones
  • Execute necessary activities to support the development and presentation of holistic digital strategic plans and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of experience on small to medium size projects within an agency, department or college, or similar environment
  • Experience creating interfaces, as well as, large-scale, web and app experiences
  • Clear understanding of web prototyping tools such as MIRO, InVision, Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD etc.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
  • Eagerness to help out in any way with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information in verbal, written or visual form to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work independently and pull other team members in for review at proper times
  • Thorough, detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Deals effectively with others in both favorable and unfavorable situations regardless of status of position
  • Must possess excellent decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong effective problem-solving skills
  • Having initial knowledge of wireframes (user experience design), sitemaps (information architecture), and many forms of research.
