What You’ll Do
As a Visual Designer, you’ll be responsible for both creative and administrative contributions to define and develop high-quality visual content for a variety of platforms. This includes websites, videos, motion/animated graphics, and traditional print ensuring styles are on-brand and appropriate for the company’s multifamily real estate investment portfolio throughout the country. In this entry-level role, you will assist in efforts to ensure the digital presence supports optimal leasing, including marketing campaign content fulfillment, print coordination, social media setup & auditing, as well as general support. Each day will be a little different and bring learning opportunities as a part of the property marketing team.

Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, our corporate offices overlook the Columbus Commons, which hosts over 200 events throughout the year. Enjoy the building’s fitness center and a rooftop terrace with an adjoining club room and walk to some of the city’s best restaurants and downtown amenities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design for a variety of platforms, including website interface, print materials, signage, video advertisements, and other marketing materials.
  • Work from the idea stage to the execution phase with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assist in execution and distribution of monthly marketing campaigns.
  • Audit all social media campaigns on a consistent rotating basis to ensure best practice is followed; step in with posting assistance and training as needed.
  • Complete web changes in Squarespace under the direction of the Design Manager & Senior Visual Designer.
  • Suggest UX/UI improvements to the websites that support leasing efforts.
  • Process and understand analytics and data to make informed design decisions.
  • Process and coordinate incoming project requests from capital projects, transitions, or other design items outside of the monthly order rotation.
  • Assist in organization and selection of digital assets portfolio-wide; responsible for collecting all needed digital assets for transitions, providing creative direction for photo and video shoots.
  • Assist in transitions and rebrand execution, social account setup, various digital onboarding tasks.
  • Provide support in coding design-related invoices and tracking expenses.
  • Provide support to site teams with general inquiries (location of training materials, password lockouts).
  • Other tasks as directed and assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Portfolio of work showcasing a variety of digital, print, and web design required.
  • High school degree or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience required- including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Premiere and After Effects are a plus. Experience with Canva and email campaign platforms preferred. Familiar with web design, including Squarespace.
  • Ability to readily learn internal, corporate computer platforms.
