February Volunteer Meeting

Big things are happening here at CSCA for our 50th anniversary and we want you to be a part of it!

Volunteering is a great way to meet other Columbus creatives, hone your professional skills, and give back to your community. CSCA is nonprofit and 100% volunteer-run—we couldn’t do it without you!

We hope that you’ll join us for our second volunteer meeting of the year on February 12 at Hopewell Works. We’ll be breaking into committees to discuss upcoming events including our 50th Anniversary, Student Portfolio Review, Happy (Little Trees) Hour, CSCA Pinewood Derby, and more upcoming events!
Pizza and drinks provided.

And mark your calendars for our February speaker, CSCA Presents: Lila Symons.

Thank you to our friends at Hopewell Works for hosting this event!

CSCA Presents: Lila Symons

Save the date! Join us on February 20 as we welcome Lila Symons. Lila is a typeface designer and lettering artist specializing in consumer goods and lifestyle brands. Past clients include Princeton University, L’Oréal, Tattly, Coach, Condé Nast Digital, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

By day Lila works as a font developer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO, where she creates proprietary typefaces based on handwriting, calligraphy, and lettering.

In her journey, Lila has learned that you grow the most by allowing yourself to be uncomfortable. By navigating the unknown and investing in playtime, Lila has turned her weaknesses into her strengths and her insecurities into her passions. Join us as Lila shares her story about finding your focus and chasing your dreams.
