Finding the honey for bitter times

The power of resilience

How do you create beautiful and meaningful work when you’re in a darker period of life?

Danielle has made a name—and a new art form—for herself. Over the years she’s built a truly stunning visual portfolio that would make any creative a little bit jealous—and she gets to play with her food! Her list of clients is wildly impressive and she seems to have really “made it.”

An incredible portfolio can too easily be seen as effortless. As if the talent comes naturally and ideas spring up like magic, right when you need them.

But Danielle’s past couple years have been rough. She learned the hard way that grief is a spectrum and found the power of resilience. Her work took on a different meaning—going beyond visually arresting to develop layers of depth.

Even in difficult times, you can still make compelling work. In fact, that might be when your very best work comes to life.

Come see Danielle at the Gateway Film Center on January 17th. She’ll pull back the curtain of her portfolio to discuss finding your own coping mechanisms and how art can be the honey that cuts through the bitterness of hard times.
