Procrastination is the secret to success for Jessica Hische. When deadline pressure started to mount at her day job, the young designer found herself drawing intricate letters instead — a Y that drips blood, a multi-mustachioed M, an O transformed into a dreamcatcher.

Her letters became perfect drop caps — which you can try free from daily drop cap.

And those letters let Jessica branch out on her own, gaining clients like The Wall Street Journal and People magazine. Last year, she released her first font — the bold and feminine Buttermilk.

Join CSCA at our September meeting as Jessica presents her amazing letter designs and explains how she went from doodling to in-demand.
