Welcome to “Out Loud: The World of Podcasting”! We hope this panel of creative guests will help shed some light on how to find your own niche and voice, the pros and cons of hosting your own podcast, how to find guests, and how to create consistent content. You’ll also have a chance to ask any burning questions for our four guests!

Jay’s previous website community, The Unreal Collective, was acquired by Pat Flynn and Smart Passive Income. From there, Jay went on to design the paid membership community and cohort-based course programs for Smart Passive Income. Creator Science is a media company that primarily does work with supporting professional creators. With more than 40K newsletter subscribers and 2 million podcast downloads, Creator Science has cemented itself as a leading voice in the creator economy.

Jordan has worked in professional student development at the college level since 2010. He earned his BS in Communication in Television and Radio Production from Ohio State University, and then his MA in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Jordan has been with career services at CCAD since 2017 and teaches in the CORE studies department. He currently teaches courses on creating stories through podcasting. He also produces his own podcast for the career services office called First, You Hustle. Monique is a co-founder of the Creative Circle Collective (CCC) in Baltimore, MD. Her agency excels in redefining the design and communication industry, dynamic branding, and web design that fortifies community connections. CCC was launched to confront the economic imbalances in the business realm, where women own 40% of small businesses but only garner 4% of total revenue. Monique actively supports women and non-binary creatives, particularly from the BIPOC communities. She also co-hosts a podcast called The Design Imposter that focuses on addressing imposter syndrome and offering support within the creative community. All in all, Monique is devoted to empowering black women and non-binary individuals to reach remarkable heights, striving to create a nurturing and liberating atmosphere.

Jessica is also a co-host on The Design Imposter podcast along with being a co-founder and co-CEO of CCC. The agency specializes in fractional CMO services for non-profit organizations and community movers. Jessica stands as a testament to over 13 years of expertise in financial branding, graphic design, and website design services. She also has cultivated her role as a publishing coordinator and brand ambassador at Wells Fargo Securities. Her core pillars are rooted in communication and transparency, education, inclusivity, and social reform – which inform her of every decision, both personally and professionally. Prior to COVID, marriage, and children – Jessica was an avid international traveler! She hopes to soon resume her travels with her growing family. She holds a BS in Business Communications from Stevenson University and MA in Publication and Design from the University of Baltimore. Her other hobbies include working in the garden and tearing apart her 1830s home for her next DIY project.
