Event Information
Currently in demand as both a solo consultant and the chairman of Danilo Black, Inc., Roger Black has been at the center of the magazine and website design universe for more than a quarter century. He has seen it all — and done even more. From picas to pixels, coated stock to Web 2.0, he’s been a major influence on the way words and ideas are presented and consumed.
For a lot of designers, creating the look of Rolling Stone would be a career-crowning achievement. But he has also brought a clear eye to the pages of The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, and many more — even the National Enquirer. In the ’90s Black entered — and revolutionized — the world of commercial Web design when a “good” website meant one without too much blinking text. He and his associates have delivered uncluttered designs that bring content to the surface for sites as diverse as Discovery.com and Poz.com.
