It’s tax season!
Which means we all got nice and cozy with our books.
Who knew one piece of software cost so much? Or that one client made up 55% of our overall revenue for the year! Wild!
And hmmmm maybe there are different ways to think about how we run our business to help increase our margins (and if you’re wondering what is a margin… come to this event).
Understanding our numbers is a huge boon for creative professionals.
If we know our numbers, we can more confidently price our services, not stress whether we can afford to pay for an event, and go to sleep peacefully at night knowing we can pay our bills (and have fun).
This month we’re covering all things money.
How do other creatives manage their money? How do they set a budget? Do they have a CPA/bookkeeper or do they handle it on their own?
Come join us for the Morning Society, a monthly meet-up for Central Ohio creatives to learn from, inspire, and grow alongside each other.
We’ll be at Wild Goose Creative on Wednesday, April 10th from 10:30 AM-12 PM.
Anna Hetzel will be guiding us through questions, helping us connect in small group discussions, and making sure we know where the coffee is.

Are you someone who feels comfier knowing the agenda? Here ya go:
- 10:30 AM – arrive and grab yourself a coffee or a tea and snag a seat
- 10:45 AM – Event kickoff, expectations, and a (very dumb) icebreaker question
- 10:55 AM – Small group breakouts with no more than 5 people per group. Anna will be providing questions to get the conversation flowing.
- 11:30 AM – Large group sharing
- 11:35 AM – Back to your small groups with new ideas to discuss from the large group share
- 11:50 AM – Wrap up and thank you!
- 12 PM – Bye bye and have a great rest of your Wednesday
Parking: you may park for free in any gravel lot around 400 Square (lots between Town, Rich, and Lucas Streets.) , and the grass strip next to Wild Goose Creative. There are signs about towing, but Wild Goose Creative is included and you will not be towed. Please do not park behind BrewDog.
