Watercolor Painting for Franklinton Farms

Franklinton Farms Learning Garden

Use your creative skills to give back to the community that sustains us physically and mentally.

Since 2016, CSCA’s Gives Back furthering the impact of selected nonprofits, organizations, and social enterprises by offering volunteers for events and in-kind professional creative services including graphic design, photography, and copywriting. Franklinton Farms is one of those nonprofits. Franklinton Farms is a two acre, 12 site, scattered urban farm operating year-round in Columbus, Ohio. They currently manage eleven food production sites, twelve high tunnels, a fruit tree orchard, a berry patch, a microgreens grow-room, a seedling start house, and a learning garden. Through this partnership, CSCA volunteers have been able to provide signage, posters, artwork, and more to the Farms that they have used around their facilities and beyond.

To continue helping this community that does so much, we are taking our monthly events outside this September and hosting an outdoor watercolor painting event benefiting Franklinton Farms! We’ll paint en plein aire with the veggies, herbs, objects featured on the farm. At the end of the night, the Farms will have a complete branded set of illustrations to use for years to come. So, please join us for an evening of painting, conversation, education, and giving back!

Things to bring: Bring your own painting supplies (watercolor paint, brushes, paper, palettes). Some supplies will be provided for those that don’t have any. All members are welcome!
