Job Summary
This role establishes visual and interaction design standards for internal and external communications projects. They will be expected to participate in user experience (UX) activities, demonstrate a consistent understanding of design principles, and communicate design standards and practices.

This candidate should be highly detail-oriented with a keen eye, proactive approach, and unique thinking who is skilled in creating and executing exceptional web designs and campaigns from start to finish.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design web sites and other digital and social products, applying understanding of design concepts and principles, as well as knowledge of technical requirements and limitations of the medium involved. Create conceptual, finished, and production-ready designs and have the ability to optimize elements for production.
  • Has great communication skills and enjoys working with a team in a collaborative environment. Can communicate design concepts to other project members and can participate in decision-making with responsibility for maintaining design coherency. Adapt and apply brand concepts as appropriate.
  • Has experience with user research and can participate in user experience activities including heuristic reviews, usability testing, usability analysis and user research towards enhancing online and digital experiences.
  • Has excellent project management skills and can manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines on time. Identify and propose process improvements based on up-to-date understanding of current design trends and UX philosophies.
  • A high proficiency in Figma and/or Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is expected, as well as the ability to investigate and assess capabilities of new design tools and software as they become available.
